Documents to Carry

Notice is given that every man who is not on active service and yet reasonably expected to be eligible under the Military Service Act, or who has claimed exemption from conscription, is required to carry authorized documentation or have it available on the premises. Failure to carry such evidence will result in a fine not exceeding $50 or imprisonment not exceeding one month, or both, and the individual may be taken into military custody and required to perform military duty. The penalty for giving false information is a fine not exceeding $500 and imprisonment not exceeding six months nor less than one month. Acceptable documents cover age, marriage, nationality, active service, clergy, exemption and other class.
