A second appeal to the Dominion of Canada by Sir Herbert Brown Ames, President of the Canadian Patriotic Fund. A call is made for additional funds to assist 25,000 and counting families of soldiers on the front. In this excerpt, it is estimated that $8 million or more was required if the war was to persist throughout the year. Remarkably, by March 31, 1917, the fund had collected nearly $23 million, attesting to the steadfast generosity and support of Canadians across the nation.
