Famine or Food

A national perspective on the state of famine overseas, once again reminding Canadians that though production has been at its highest over the past year, more is still needed if the war is to be won: “It is estimated that the production of wheat in the United Kingdom, Belgium, France and Italy this year will fall short by 500,000,000 bushels of the pre-war average… Canada and the United States must therefore, in large measure, meet the difficulty.”
