Production and Thrift

An appeal by the Government of Canada for money to finance the war effort. This campaign urges men and women of the nation unable to enlist to assist with food production, be frugal with consumption and spending, and strongly consider purchasing War Bonds or investing in a War Savings Account. It is not until the fourth campaign in November 1917 that the term ‘Victory Loan’ is applied to this type of appeal.
