High School Campaign

Parents of boys aged 14 to 18 are asked to cooperate with the aims of the Department of Public Works and permit their boys, the ‘most promising supply of help’, to participate with summertime farm labour in Ontario. Though previous experience with farm work is desirable, it is noted that many boys fared successfully the previous summer with little experience. As is stated, “Physical strength and endurance are valuable assets, but the supreme qualifications in modern agriculture are intelligence and grit”.
