The 234th Battalion visit Streetsville, meeting the village council and citizens at the fairgrounds. Published here is the address of welcome by the village council, along with an account of the day’s events. It is worth to mention that a motion picture showcasing horrors of the war is screened by the Battalion, who urge for additional help. Afterwards, soldiers treat the crowd to songs and music around a campfire to show “the happy side” of life as a soldier.
